Turkish newspaper Fanatik claims Besiktas are looking to get at least €7m from the sale of their Chilean midfielder Gary Medel, who’s reportedly still a target for West Ham United.
West Ham were linked with Medel in January, but the player remained in Istanbul.
However, it’s reported the Turkish club are now prepared to let Medel leave in this transfer window and are ready to use the money to reinvest in their squad.
Fanatik claims West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is keen to work with his compatriot and he’s insisting on the Hammers’ board signing the midfielder.
Medel has one year left on his current contract and Besiktas are willing to let him go this time after blocking his departure during the last January window.
The 31 year-old lost his place in the team during the closing weeks of last season and could be ready to move on.
He previously played in the Premier League with Cardiff City during the 2013/14 season.
