Steven Bergwijn has managed to charm several clubs, report De Telegraaf in their Monday edition.
The Dutch newspaper explain the PSV attacker is all lined up for an exit from PSV this summer, having decided last year to hang around for a further season. It’s thought that decision was very much the correct one to make, with the 21 year old further developing his talents and confidence.
Manchester United are one of the clubs said to be keen and they could potentially break their own PSV transfer record. De Telgraaf explain that Bergwijn could move for more than the €34m the Premier League club paid to the club for Memphis Depay.
Bergwijn has eleven goals and twelve assists in the Eredivisie so far this season, and is a big reason his club currently sit top of the league. He’s been very versatile in attack, playing on the left and right and occasionally through the middle.
In theory he could occupy the right side Manchester United seem to have been struggling with in recent seasons.
Whilst it’s made clear the youngster has won over the English clubs and others, there’s no talk of negotiations of anything to do with an offer.
