Samu Chukwueze has found himself back in the rumour mill, along with his Villarreal teammate Pau Torres.
La Razon report Real Madrid are interested in signing both players, however, it’s made clear there’s serious competition from elsewhere for the former. That’s where Manchester United come in, with the Red Devils named along with Liverpool, Leicester City, Everton, Chelsea and Wolves.
Whilst all of those teams are ‘willing to bid’ for Chukwueze, according to the report, La Razon states a couple of clubs are ready to ‘push harder’ than Real Madrid.
Manchester United and Liverpool are presented as those, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side said to be ready to turn to the Villarreal man should they fail with another attempt for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
Jurgen Klopp’s side get a mention because it’s thought they’d be able to cope with Chukwueze’s clause, which is put at €80m.
That sounds a huge amount for the 21-year-old, and it’s questionable whether Manchester United would go so high given they already brought in two young attackers when the attempt for Sancho came to nothing.
Chukwueze’s statistics don’t shout out that he’s a player worth €80m, although he’s obviously clearly talented and has impressed for Villarreal.
