Manchester United will ‘try to convince’ star over summer transfer – Player to make decision on future soon

Manchester United will be one of handful clubs trying to sign Erling Haaland in the next window, according to AS.

The newspaper focuses on Real Madrid’s plan to take the Borussia Dortmund star in 2023 since they believe their current striker, Karim Benzema, still has few years left in him.

BVB are hope to retain the striker for one more season and this would fit  in well with Los Blancos’ efforts to take the Norway international next year. The German club have become an ‘unexpected ally of Real Madrid in Operation Haaland’.

It’s claimed the Bundesliga side have put an offer on the table, allowing the 21-year-old to ‘start earning a stratospheric salary’ next season, which the likes of Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain can offer

The former Red Bull Salzburg star’s camp, led by Mino Raiola, are soon set to hold talks with Dortmund over his future. PSG are aware of it and they hope to sign him to replace Kylian Mbappé. However, the Ligue 1 doesn’t seduce Marco Rose’s man.

In the event Haaland decides to change clubs in the summer, Real Madrid will be forced to join United and a few other clubs in the transfer race. The La Liga side will either have to join the signing battle or ‘lose him’.

Regarding the Manchester club, AS state United will be among other suitors who will ‘try to convince’ Haaland join them in the next summer.
