Manchester United will follow Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic’s performances ‘with extreme attention’ in the coming months as they look for a long-term striker.
That’s according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who say Juventus are ‘considering’ a possible sale in the summer transfer window.
Galetti reports that the ‘first confirmations’ about a possible departure in the coming months have been made, with the Bianconeri setting the asking price at €80m.
They are aware that there is ‘concrete interest’ coming from England, with Manchester United one of the sides keeping a close eye on the Serbian’s performances.
They are on the hunt for a long-term striker for Erik ten Hag’s squad after letting Cristiano Ronaldo depart before the World Cup.
They filled the hole he left behind with a loan deal for Wout Weghorst but there is an acceptance that he is not the long-term solution and his move from Burnley only runs until the end of the season anyway.
The belief is that they will look to sign a striker come the summer and 23-year-old Vlahovic would certainly fit the bill in terms of ability and the type of player Manchester United are now focused on.
They want players they can develop for the future and Vlahovic falls into that, although whether they’d be willing to match Juventus’ demands remains to be seen.
