The situation between Manchester United and Antony today gets an update from Brazilian outlet UOL.

Columnist Danilo Lavieri now writes that the player had at the weekend a conversation with Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder.

There, the coach tried to make it clear he doesn’t want to lose such an important player at the start of the season.

Antony has been out of his club’s squad, and the explanation for that is his ‘muscular pain’, and even though the staff and board are ‘irritated’ with him missing training amid the rumours of a Manchester United move, he insists that he’s not 100% fit to help the team.

The report claims that in the chat with Schreuder, Antony ‘did not hide’ his wish of a move to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, the clubs are still in talks and the Red Devils ‘should send soon a new bid’.

According to UOL, even though Ajax are playing hard ball, they’d ‘hardly refuse’ an offer that gets close to €100m. The story, however, doesn’t make it clear if Manchester United are willing to reach that price tag already.
