Star of the show for Newcastle United against Manchester City, Allan Saint-Maximin is having the time of his life at St James’ Park.

The Frenchman has been a fan favourite at the Magpies for quite some time, often seen making gifts to fans out of the blue, as well as entertaining them on the pitch.

None of that has gone unnoticed, which is why it isn’t surprising to see Media Foot in France claiming that Manchester United are taking an interest in the player.

Now, it’s worth pointing out that no move has been made just yet, with the Red Devils seemingly focusing their attention on Antony now that Casemiro’s move to Old Trafford is all but done, but they are watching Saint-Maximin.

The French outlet explain that Manchester United are ‘thinking about gambling on him’, because they like the ‘explosive profile’ he has to offer, and ‘don’t exclude moving before August 31st’.

That being said, it’s made very clear that it won’t be easy to get Saint-Maximin out of Newcastle, especially since the Magpies don’t have to sell and know full well how valuable the Frenchman is.

This means Manchester United will have to ‘pull out all the stops’ to sign him.

What that means exactly isn’t said, but if Ajax can ask for €100m for Antony, God knows what Newcastle will want for Saint-Maximin at this point of the transfer window.
