Manchester United’s pursuit of Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat has entered deadline day and progress is expected, according to reports from Italy.
La Nazione, relayed by Labaro Viola, state the Red Devils are set to make new contact with the Serie A side for the midfielder.
The 27-year-old has received offers from other clubs, including Fulham, but has rejected them in favour of a move to Manchester United.
His desire is to make a switch to Old Trafford and that’s echoed by Sport Mediaset. They say La Viola, who want to sell the player, are ready to allow him leave on loan with a right to buy.
It’s said Erik ten Hag’s side have ‘raised the buyout fee’ and this seems to have convinced the Italian club. There’s no mention of any figures in the report though.
Calciomercato have a different take and state the Premier League side are looking to buy the Morocco international instead of taking him on loan with an option/obligation to buy.
They state Manchester United have submitted an ‘official offer’ of €30m plus bonuses, and this is an ‘important proposal’ from Fiorentina’s point of view.
Calciomercato add Fiorentina want to sign Napoli’s Diego Demme first before allowing the Moroccan to fulfil his dream of making a move to Manchester United, but that doesn’t feel so crucial.
These are ‘hot hours’ for the Italian club, who are working to first sign Demme and then allow Amrabat to make a switch to Manchester United.
All three reports insist the Moroccan only wants to join Manchester United, and has a few hours left to fulfill his dream.
