Fenerbahçe are willing to sign Manchester United’s Dutch winger Memphis Depay in the January transfer window claim TakvimSpor. Takvim say the out-of-favour Manchester United player is a target for Fenerbahçe, and the club’s great and good will do everything to secure him when the window opens next month.
Fenerbahçe boss Dick Advocaat reportedly wants to get rid of former West Ham striker Emmanuel Emenike, and Fernandao. He’s told the board rotating Robin van Persie and Moussa Sow will be enough in attack, but the club seriously need a winger to compete with Jeremain Lens and Volkan Şen for the two wide positions.
Takvim also claim this interest is being fuelled by Depay’s representatives as he is frustrated about his lack of playing time under Jose Mourinho, and subsequently the Manchester United No.7 is willing to play for Fenerbahçe in the new year.
Depay reportedly wants to work with Advocaat after playing under the Dutch coach whilst at PSV. The Manchester United player believes working with Advocaat will help him regain the form which earned him his move to Old Trafford.
Only this week, Depay has been linked to Everton, Spartak Moscow, and now Fenerbahçe. The Dutchman may not be wanted at Old Trafford, but it would appear he certainly is elsewhere.
The final say will come down to Mourinho, and whilst he’s said it’s not his desire to force players out, the manager is also ready to listen to any of his squad who want to leave.
