Manchester United are ‘looking to offload’ several players before the end of the transfer window and Eric Bailly is one of them.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the defender is ‘not in Ten Hag’s plans’ moving forwards.
They say that Manchester United were initially not interested in accepting a loan deal for Bailly and were only considering a permanent exit.
However, that stance has ‘recently evolved’ and a loan deal away from Old Trafford is now possible.
That’s seen as a ‘good omen’ for Marseille, who are keen on his signature and have been for much of the summer.
They are one of the clubs to have ‘come forward’, alongside AS Monaco, to ask about the player’s situation. In fact, according to their information, Marseille have ‘taken a slight advantage’ in the race.
Why that is the case isn’t mentioned but it seems things are now progressing because Manchester United have changed their stance.
That’s given Marseille an opportunity to get Bailly on loan and there is an optimism they can get a deal over the line before the end of the window.
