Ousmane Dembele’s renewal situation at Barcelona has been something of a rollercoaster over the past few months.
The Frenchman’s contract expires at the end of the current season and he’s therefore free to speak to other clubs.
Multiple Premier League sides have been credited with interest in the player, with Manchester United almost certainly the club linked most.
The Catalan media have put forward repeat ‘deadlines’ for Dembele to give an answer over whether he’ll be staying at the Camp Nou.
In the summer there were even claims he’d be ostracised from the team if he refused to put pen to paper. That, of course, didn’t happen and there’s been no outcome from all the other claimed deadlines either.
Barcelona’s patience ‘has a limit’, according to Munco, and Dembele has ‘exceeded it’.
It’s still thought the player wants to continue, and his family is said to feel the same way, but the agents are being overly ambitious with their requests.
Mundo say there are ‘no firm and substantial offers’, however, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have shown ‘real interest’
Barcelona now wait for Dembele to do something about the situation and his wish to stay where he is, which he hasn’t shown any sign of doing yet.
