Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James were Manchester United’s three summer signings and the latter two are 21 years of age.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also promoted youngsters Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood to the first team squad as the Red Devils manager plans to build a young team at Old Trafford.
Italian website Calciomercato suggests the 20-time English champions may well be considering Brescia’s Sandro Tonali.
It’s claimed the Premier League side scouts were sent on an ‘exploratory mission’ at the weekend, to watch the club against Bologna.
The 19-year-old is considered to be a likely point of interest for Manchester United and other clubs attending, although he wasn’t able to stop his side losing 4-3.
Tonali has been drawing attention from clubs within Italy and across Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain believed to be keen on the player in summer.
His contract with Brescia runs until 2021, so they’ll be under pressure to extend or plan a sale ahead of the next summer window.
