Manchester United scouts were obviously present at the Portuguese league match between Benfica and Sporting this weekend.

The Red Devils have been watching most of the club’s games this season, so it would be a surprise not to see them at such a big game.

Many players from both Sporting and Benfica have been linked to Manchester United in the past few months. But O Jogo, who reports the scouting, only say that the officials were keeping an eye on the defender Victor Lindelof.

CapturarThe Swedish player had a decent match, but made a mistake in the second half, when he left Bas Dost free to score with a header from the far post.

Other rumoured Manchester United targets such as Gelson Martins and Nelson Semedo also had a good performance, with the latter having made an assist for Benfica’s second goal.

With the win, Benfica have now 32 points, giving them a cushion over from (28) and Sporting (27).
