France Football report Manchester United are pondering whether to pay €3m for Willy Kambwala, after Sochaux told the Premier League club that’s the amount required for a transfer.

In July, we covered earlier claims from France which stated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side had made a first offer for the 15 year old. That offer was said to be less than €1m, so it’s quite a jump to what is now being requested.

At the time it was stated that Sochaux wanted at least double for the young talent, and if they didn’t get it then the France U16 defender would be staying where he is, given he still has two years left on his contract.

Having been told about the €3m price-tag, Manchester United haven’t yet followed up their interest, suggesting the club aren’t keen to pay such a price.

They now have the option of walking away, or testing just how strong Sochaux’s stance is. There’s every chance a higher offer than the first one is made, but not quite getting to €3m.
