Manchester United’s resistance regarding the future of Diogo Dalot has been harming AC Milan’s interest in the player, according to claims today.

Newspaper Tuttosport reports that the Red Devils ‘don’t change their position’ on the fullback’s situation, and that has been making the Rossoneri look for other targets.

Dalot is said to be wanted by both Milan and Real Madrid, and it’s exactly at the Santiago Bernabeu that the Italian club are now looking for a solution.

Tuttosport says the Rossoneri should now ‘accelerate’ talks for Real Madrid player Alvaro Odriozola, who could arrive from the La Liga side on loan with an option to buy.

The report doesn’t bring any other details on Dalot’s situation, even though it’s clear that Manchester United are currently demanding more than what Milan want to pay for him.

The Portugal international has just had a loan spell at the Serie A side where he made 33 appearances. He was mostly a back-up option for both of the team’s fullbacks, so that gave him a double chance to be frequently having some minutes.

Now in case Milan really give up on the signing, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid are indeed interested in Dalot or if any other club will come forward for his signing. His contract with the Red Devils runs until 2023.
