With the English media reporting that Valencia would be interested in signing Marouane Fellaini, the local press didn’t need much time to respond.
The Manchester United midfielder may be close to the end of his contract, being allowed to sign a pre-deal in January, but it’s still not enough for El Desmarque to think the signing will be easy.
The outlet reckons Fellaini’s current wages at Manchester United are far too high, so he would need to lower his demands in case he really wants to play for Valencia.
It’s a bit hard to believe that it would happen. First because Premier League clubs normally have a bigger budget for salaries than Spanish sides, apart from Real Madrid and Barcelona, obviously. So Fellaini would undoubtedly have better options if staying in the country.
And also because if Fellaini is really having problems to renew his contract at Manchester United, that’s probably because he wants a pay raise, so doing the opposite to play for Valencia would be odd.
