Valencia are having a brilliant start to the season, riding high in La Liga. After years of struggles, the Spanish club find themselves in second place and there’s something of a panic to make sure it doesn’t all collapse.

That’s leading to lots of transfers rumours revolving around the January window, with a string of potential signings linked. Wednesday’s edition of Sport adds Sandro Ramirez to that mix.

With the forward’s move to Everton seen as a complete disatser so far, it’s thought Valencia could sign Sandro for the second half of the season, a prospect especially encouraged by injury to Simone Zaza.

There’s no mention from Sport whether it would be a loan or permanent deal, but given the whole world know Everton paid €6m for Sandro, there’s surely not opportunity for a huge profit.

Switching to Valencia and seeing his fortunes change for the second half of the season, getting games in a team at the top of the table, has got to be an attractive alternative to Everton for Sandro right now.
