Joshua Zirkzee has shown glimpses of his qualities since his arrival at Manchester United.
He scored on his debut against Fulham and has shown his link play in the games he’s been involved with. He might have just one goal but the Dutchman is settling into life in England and in a new system altogether.
It is only natural for him to take some time and while he was a signing made for the long-term, there has now been talk of a premature exit from United.
Calciomercato.it report that in a few months, it will become clear whether Zirkzee will follow Romelu Lukaku’s path away from the Premier League and whether he will depart quickly after joining from a Serie A side.
It is suggested that if things continue the way they are, an exit next summer could take place. An early ‘separation’ has been described as a possibility and the likes of Milan, Juventus and Roma could make an attempt.
A return to Italy has been described as a possibility, only if things don’t go well.
It is perhaps a fairly wild suggestion because Zirkzee is also taking a while to find his feet due to the issues in Erik ten Hag’s setup, which isn’t helping too many players.
The forward arrived for a significant fee and it will probably require something to go terribly wrong for him to leave as early as next summer.
