With less than three weeks for the transfer window to close, it’s not clear whether or not Andreas Pereira will still be at Manchester United beyond this month.
The 25-year-old spent the last season on loan at Lazio, where he struggled for regular playing time, restricted to only five starts across all competitions.
Despite these difficulties, the midfielder admitted he is open to the idea of returning to the Italian capital club this summer, where they have replaced Simone Inzaghi with Maurizio Sarri.
The United player may be presented with an opportunity, if a report from today’s Corriere dello Sport is to be believed.
According to the newspaper, the former Valencia man is still on the radar of the Serie A side.
It’s claimed the Belgium-born Brazil international is ‘looking for a team’ in the ongoing window and is looking to leave the Red Devils for good as he ‘would prefer a permanent transfer’ and not through another loan deal.
Pereira received interest from Turkey and ‘was considering an offer’ from them, but all of that could quickly change if Sarri’s side present an offer to acquire his services.
