Bild seem to believe there’s been reports in England of Bayern Munich accepting a €30m offer from Manchester United for Thiago Alcantara.
As far as the German newspaper have it, the reports stated a move now only needed Thiago himself to give his approval.
We’re not quite sure where they’ve seen these claims, but whether they exist or not, Bild have gone to the effort of saying it’s not true. Bayern haven’t received any offer from Manchester United, and therefore they dismiss any idea of an agreement.
They do state there’s been some sort of contact with the player’s agent, but, again, this could be the result of the current crazy rumour mill.
Bild go on to say it’s now ‘clear’ Liverpool are not the only club in the race for the Spaniard, with an insistence the Red Devils have joined them. Meanwhile, in the Spanish sport media there continues to be an assumption the Bayern player is set to join up with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Bayern Munich are looking for €30m for their want-away star, and so far it doesn’t appear that any club has come forward with that sum.
