After coming up through the ranks of Rapid Wien’s youth system, Yusuf Demir broke into their first team in 2019 and has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
The forward has six goals and two assists to his name and his displays have caught the attention of top European clubs.
Defensa Central reported in January the 17-year-old is on the agenda of Real Madrid, while Manchester United are the ‘most attentive’ club in the transfer race.
The Austria U21 international is one of the brightest prospects of his country, according to Bild.
Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the ‘super talent’ and the Bundesliga side are involved in the transfer ‘poker’ for the talented youngster.
Manchester United are included in the list of suitors, along with Manchester City, Juventus, Barcelona and Dortmund. It’s claimed these clubs have ‘not lost sight’ of Demir, who has ‘exceptional footballing skills’.
Demir is valued at €5m and Austria legend Toni Polster is of the belief the teenager should pick BVB over United or other clubs.
“Yusuf Demir is only 17 years old, but you can already see the incredible potential in him,” Polster told Bild.
“Of course, some clubs will be looking for Demir. But for Borussia, of course, you could say that the club has proven sustainably that they can deal with talents.”
