Manchester City and Manchester United interest in Lorenzo Pirola is highlighted by the Italian media today.
The Premier League giants are both said to be interested in the 17-year-old, who’s been playing for his country in the U17 World Cup.
FC Inter News reports Manchester United have been following the defender for longer, having scouted him in the match against Mexico in the tournament.
But now it’s Manchester City who have joined the race, after sending an official to keep on eye on him during the game against Paraguay.
The website calls Pirola a ‘complete defender’, since he’s ‘strong in the air, skilled and with a great sense of position’. They say there are few like him nowadays.
Pirola belongs to Inter Milan, where he’s still to make his debut for the first team. The Nerazzurri are already aware of the interest from other clubs, and that’s why they’re planning to ‘build a wall’ and hold him for longer.
