According to Turkish newspaper Aksam, Manchester United and Leicester City are still following the situation of Fenerbahce’s Kosovan striker Vedat Muriqi and could table an offer for the player this summer.
The 25 year old has been constantly linked with a move to Premier League since he joined Fenerbahce from Caykur Rizespor for €3.5m last summer.
Previous reports in the Turkish press said Leicester City have watched the player on numerous occasions this season, and Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the Kosovo international.
Aksam claim both English clubs could make an offer to Fenerbahce in the summer, and the Turkish club are hoping to get something in the region of €30m from the sale of the player.
It’s looking unlikely the Super Lig side will be in the Champions League next season and a move now looks a strong possibility.
Muriqi has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Fener this season, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists.
That’s a good return, but the hype in Turkey, including links to huge clubs, is getting a little carried away.
His contract with Yellow Canaries will expire at the end of June 2023.
