Isco is one of the Real Madrid players linked with a move away from the club in the winter market.
Manchester United are named as suitors for the 28-year-old in today’s edition of AS.
The Spain international has seen his playing time limited as he made only three starts in the league and one appearance in the Champions League this season. He has been on the pitch for 36 minutes in the last five league matches.
According to the newspaper, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side ‘have already been interested’ in the player’s situation with the La Liga winners.
Isco earns a net salary of €7m per season at Real Madrid, and the report states the Red Devils have ‘sufficient economic capacity’ to either improve or meet his current salary.
Sources close to the player have told AS that for Isco, the ‘sports project and the quality of life of his family will prevail’, and these two factors give advantage to Sevilla.
Hence, Julen Lopetegui’s side are ‘best placed’ to sign the former Malaga star.
Manchester United have the attacking midfield position covered by Bruno Fernandes and summer signing Donny van de Beek. The Dutchman is struggling to start regularly for the Old Trafford club, while Juan Mata can be used in the same position.
Solskjaer already has several options, and therefore, it would be highly unlikely United will try to sign Isco, at least in January, especially when there are other areas that needs strengthening.
