Manchester United are ‘in the front row’ of the club ‘interested’ in a deal for Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries this summer.

That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by L’Interista, who say the Italian club are gearing up to sell the Dutchman and have already identified a replacement.

They explain that Premier League clubs are consistently following Dumfries ahead of the summer window, having been keen on him for the best part of 18 months.

Manchester United are one of them, with it well established that Erik ten Hag would like to sign a right-back as neither Diogo Dalot or Aaron Wan Bissaka have won him over this season.

Dumfries is a name they have consistently been linked to as a result and Tuttosport insist today that Manchester United are ‘in the front row’ of those interested in him.

A deal is there to be done too with Inter putting Dumfries name on their list of potential outgoings for the next window.

They’ve already identified Tajon Buchanan as a replacement and are now hoping to make as much as €60m in a potential deal for Dumfries. That figure is the one put on him by chairman Steven Zhang.

Whether Manchester United or anyone else is willing to pay it remains to be seen but Inter are keen to sell and waiting for the ‘right offer’ to do so.
