Manchester United are considering the opportunity to sign Marco Verratti from Paris Saint German this summer, according to reports from Italy today.
Website Calcio Mercato comes up with a story on Tuesday saying the player’s agent Mino Raiola has been offering the midfielder around Europe.
The outlet writes that Barcelona said no, Real Madrid have opened doors, Juventus are waiting, and Manchester United are ‘considering’ the chance.
Verratti is said not to be on a hurry, as he’s currently enjoying his vacations in Ibiza and will only later decide his future.
Calcio Mercato claims that Verratti has had his first meeting with the new PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, who explained that the midfielder is very important for the squad.
However, according to eyebrow raising claims from France, the boss also explained Verratti needs to lose weight, and that is pretty much taken by Calcio Mercato as a reason for the player to rebel against the new manager.
Given Raiola’s involvement, the subsequent Manchester United link was inevitable.
