Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and is believed to be the priority target for the Red Devils.
Multiple reports coming out of Germany have insisted the Bundesliga side will demand in excess of €100m for the 20-year-old.
It’s unclear if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are willing to meet Dortmund’s asking price for the England international.
According to Calciomercato, the Old Trafford club are looking at other options and have their sights on Douglas Costa. Manchester United consider the Juventus winger as the ‘first alternative to Jadon Sancho’.
It’s claimed the 29-year-old hasn’t been consistent in the last three years and therefore, the Old Lady have decided to make the Brazilian available in the market.
Despite his failure to be consistent at Juve, the report adds he is ‘tempting to many European clubs’, including Barcelona, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
Juventus are keen on Paul Pogba and if United want to take Costa, Calciomercato states Fabio Paratici could use the South American to get the Frenchman back to the club.
This all sounds like wishful thinking from Juventus, and there’d surely be other options ahead of Costa if a deal for Sancho isn’t possible.
