As Manchester United have a new striker as one of their priorities for the summer window, perhaps that player could arrive from a not so expected place.

According to Sky Deutschland today, the Red Devils are one of the clubs interested in Gambian centre-forward Adama Bojang.

It’s claimed that Manchester United, Eintracht Frankfurt, Racing Strasbourg and another Bundesliga club are all keen on the the ‘miracle striker’.

Bojang belongs to Gambian side Steve Biko, and is apparently showing big potential there. That was explained by Sky Germany expert Philipp Hinze.

“There are already some top African strikers, but Bojang should really be written down. He can get really interesting.”

Sacha Empacher, the player’s agent, was also interviewed by Sky Germany, and made sure to hype up the 19-year-old.

“Adama is the best African player I’ve seen in the last decade. He has the potential to become one of Africa’s great forwards. Along with Drogba, Eto’o, Salah and Osimhen.”

Sky Germany state that Bojang should be transferred to Europe in the next 10 to 14 days, with the buyers spending almost €5m on the transfer.

The report, however, doesn’t mention if those interested clubs have already engaged in serious talks for the signing, or even if there are bids on the table already.

Although Manchester United certainly have the money to get the deal done, this deal, if it happens, would surely be in addition to a more experienced player.
