Moussa Dembele has been repeatedly linked to Manchester United over the past month or so.
The forward moved to Lyon last summer from Celtic and has done enough to already catch the eye of other clubs.
Earlier claims talked of repeated scouting missions from the Premier League side, and it was also reported Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had wanted to find out more about the player’s attitude.
All the reports were positive, and on May 24th it was claimed Manchester United had made an offer of over €40m.
That was carried by several outlets, and looking at previous Dembele claims it appeared to be the player’s camp who were pushing the stories.
Thursday’s L’Equipe states Liverpool, Arsenal, and ‘even Barca’ have been in contact, but Manchester United ‘seem the most capable’ to make a swoop.
That would obviously place doubt on an offer ever having been made by the Old Trafford club. Maybe they’re still preparing it.
There doesn’t seem to be anything really moving forward on this right now, at least as far as L’Equipe are concerned.
