Galatasaray are interested in Manchester City attacker Samir Nasri, SabahSpor reports. The Turkish newspaper claim Galatasaray are looking at the availability of Nasri as the club prepare for a life without their captain Wesley Sneijder.

Sneijder is expected to leave at the end of the season and Sabah claim Samir Nasri is the top of Galatasaray’s list of potential replacements. The French midfielder is currently on loan at Sevilla and made a great start to the season there. It’s no exaggeration to say the Manchester City owned player was one of La Liga’s best performers at the beginning of the campaign.

Sevilla rushing him back from injury and gambling with fitness, meant Nasri was quickly out of shape for Jorge Sampaoli.

Sabah claim Galatasaray are looking to loan Nasri for one season and the official talks between the two clubs will take place in the coming days. Nasri came very close to playing in Turkish SuperLeague last summer but he decided to join Sevilla instead of Besiktas.

It’s currently unknown whether Guardiola is counting on Nasri but given his options in attack already it’s pretty certain the 29-year old will not be needed at City beyond this season. Nasri has played 22 La Liga games for Sevilla and scored 2 goals this season.
