Last week Aziz Yildirim spoke at Fenerbahçe’s annual congress about plans for next season, and those plans could interest Swansea City.

President Yildirim said: “We want to move quickly in the transfer market this summer. We hope we can finish the deals before June. We have a couple of targets in mind, who are currently playing in France.”

SporX reported Fenerbahçe are looking to sign Mathieu Valbuena from Lyon and the other player on their list is Swansea City’s Bafetimbi Gomis, who’s on loan at Marseille.

Fenerbahçe officials will fly to France soon for the negotiations for both players. 32-year old Bafetimbi Gomis has enjoyed a good season on loan at Marseille this season, scoring 17 goals but stopped in his tracks by an injury.

Gomis’ contract at Swansea will expire in 2018 and his situation at the Welsh club could depend on the last 3 games, as Swansea look to win a battle with Hull City to stay in the Premier League.

Whilst a Swansea City stay for Gomis seems unlikely, it can’t be ruled out, given they own the player.
