Gabriel Jesus has confirmed that his departure from Palmeiras is almost agreed. In a press conference with the Brazilian Olympic Team, the striker refused to reveal his destination, but says the transfer is close to happening.
“With all respect to you from the press, my future is about to be set. My family, my representatives and Palmeiras know where they want to go, my focus is all on the national team. The negotiations are almost done, almost everything is agreed, but my focus is on the national team.”
When asked to comment on the call he received from Pep Guardiola, Gabriel said: “It’s everything almost done, I can’t talk about this call because it’s something private, I’d like you to respect it because it’s something private. I’ve already talked about the negotiations, I respect you, but I’ll only give one answer.”
Earlier today, we’ve covered reports from Lance which said the deal with Manchester City was almost done, as Manchester United had allegedly given up on making a bid.
It’s very likely that Gabriel Jesus’ future will only be revealed after the Olympics, so it’s a matter of waiting to see.
