Manchester City are interested in Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu, according to reports from Turkey.

Fotomac today writes that Pep Guardiola’s side have ‘taken action’ to get the 24-year-old signed.

The defender is believed to be having a very good season at Fenerbahce, and besides Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund also got interested in him.

Kadıoğlu’s market value is said to be of €20m, while he’s protected by the Turkish side with a contract until 2028.

According to FotoMac, Pep Guardiola wants to see the defender in his team ‘in the new season’, although there are no in depth details on how Manchester City are moving to get the signing done.

Kadıoğlu arrived at Fenerbahce back in 2019, when he joined from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen. This season, he has 33 appearances for the Istanbul side, having proven to be one of the most important players in the squad.

The Premier League’s interest isn’t something new for him, as Arsenal have also been linked some months ago.
