Brazilian side Flamengo are pretty frustrated after signing some hyped up players and not winning the league once again. That means there’s a long list of departures for December, and among them, is Marlos Moreno from Manchester City.
Loaned to the Rio de Janeiro side in in January, the Colombian forward has made 26 appearances for the club, but was never good enough to impress and win a starting spot in the team.
That’s why Flamengo will make no effort to hold him for longer, and according to journalist Daniel Perrone, he’s been offered to São Paulo.
Moreno would be one of the foreign players whose name has been mentioned by the board, but for now the club has no intention of signing him.
This is a move that would make sense for Manchester City in many ways. First because it would be easier to introduce the player to the squad in the summer, and also because in June it’s easier to find a new club in Europe.
However, if Moreno goes on his fourth loan in such a short time, it’s clear that something is going very wrong at these clubs, especially because it doesn’t seem like any of them have tried to keep the player.
