After having a bid rejected for Cengiz Under, Manchester City are keeping tabs on another Turkish wonderkid, in Fenerbahçe’s Oguz Kaan Guctekin. Manchester City are following the player’s performances closely, say Hurriyet, and they’ve become very persistent with their interest in the player.
Oguz Kaan was included in Fenerbahçe’s preseason training squad for a camp in Switzerland, and the Turkish side’s manager Aykut Kocaman has been impressed with the 18 year old’s performances so far.
Fenerbahçe are currently uninterested selling the youngster, but Hürriyet claim Manchester City scouts will continue to monitor his situation, as they believe he could be worth swooping for in the future.
Manchester City have also been linked with Oguz Kaan’s compatriot Cengiz Under in the past week, following reports they travelled to Turkey to hold talks to sign the Turkey international.
The Premier League side put in a bid for the Medipol Basaksehir star, but this was turned down as the Turkish club are holding out for €15m.
