Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha could be set to join RB Leipzig this summer in a deal worth around €10-12m.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolleri, who says the forward could make the move to Germany after his successful loan spell at Anderlecht last season.
Nmecha spent last season with the Belgian side and proved to be a massive hit, scoring 21 goals and registering three assists in 41 games in all competitions.
They are desperate to get him back, but their chances have looked slim for some time, with several reports indicating that Nmecha will instead be making the move to the Bundesliga.
Leipzig were named as his suitors a couple of months ago, and it seems they are now closing in on a deal.
Tavolleri reports any deal with Manchester City would need a fee of ‘between €10m and €12m’ for a permanent transfer.
Pep Guardiola’s side seem to be targeting a sale as Nmecha has a year left on his current deal, and they want to avoid losing him on a free transfer from January next year.
That is something they look set to achieve with Leipzig apparently keen and seemingly willing to pay to get their man.
