Manchester City are one of the clubs interested in Paris Saint Germain youngster Ayman Kari, who could be set to leave the French club over a lack of opportunities.
That’s according to AS, who say Kari could be the latest in a growing list of young talents who have moved away from the Parisian side.
It’s an ‘irreparable problem’ for the Ligue 1 giants, who can’t offer youngsters the game time they want given the plethora of talent in their first-team squad.
The newspaper reports that Kari is ‘unlikely’ to remain at PSG as his ‘great performances’ in their youth side have made him a ‘highly valued’ player in Europe, so much so that teams such as Atlético Madrid and Manchester City have become ‘interested’ in his situation.
He will only stay in Paris if he is guaranteed first-team minute, something that seems unlikely, if not impossible, given Mauricio Pochettino’s ‘overbooking’ in midfield.
Kari has been one of the regulars in PSG’s youth team this season and established himself as a key player in Zoumana Camará’s team.
He’s already been called up to France’s U18 team and has ‘offers’ from ‘renowned teams’ in Europe, although whether one of them is Manchester City isn’t mentioned.
At the moment, the youngster has not renewed his contract, which expires next summer and the negotiations are not progressing, meaning it is ‘feasible’ he will leave at some point in the coming months.
Perhaps to join Pep Guardiola at the Etihad?
