Bayern Munich may be set to get a taste of their own medicine from Manchester City.
The Bundesliga club having been chasing Leroy Sane’s signing for some time, and are now trying to knock the player’s price down, given his contract with the English club expires next year.
There’s been some annoyance at how Bayern have gone about their transfer chase, and it would be understandable if City have been left angered.
Now, France’s FootMercato report they’ve initiated contact with Kingsley Coman over a potential summer transfer. Unfortunately for Manchester City, the Frenchman isn’t thought to be keen on a move right now, feeling settled at Bayern Munich.
Pep Guardiola is said to be the man behind the chase, and it’s not only Coman he’s keen on at Bayern. FootMercato report the manager has been ‘making eyes’ at Thiago Alcantara, with the Spaniard thought to be considering his future at the German club.
Having already managed Thiago at both Barcelona and Bayern, Guardiola knows the player well, and it seems like he wants to find out whether a City move would be tempting.
