Ole Romeny came up through the ranks of NEC Nijmegen’s youth system before finding his way into their first team.
The 20-year-old is a regular figure for the second division Dutch side and has impressed this season by managing eight goals and two assists in 27 league appearances.
His performances have caught attention from clubs across Europe. According to Voetbal International, Manchester City are one of the sides chasing the player.
It’s claimed Pep Guardiola’s team, Juventus, Bologna, Real Sociedad and Fortuna Düsseldorf are following Romeny, who has been regularly used as a centre forward and on the left wing.
VI’s headline reads ‘European top clubs hunt’ for the Dutchman, who has a contract until 2022 with NEC Nijmegen.
Apart from the aforementioned clubs, SC Heerenveen and Willem II have ‘already shown serious interest’ in the player.
There isn’t anything to indicate where Romeny will play next season and whether or not he has decided to leave his current club this summer.
