Manchester City seem to be going through AS Monaco’s players systematically, working out which they’d quite fancy, and then seeing if a deal can be done.
With Bernardo Silva already a Manchester City player, and Benjamin Mendy the strongest linked of his former teammates, Fabinho can now join the ranks of Monaco players of serious interest to Pep Guardiola.
L’Equipe report in their Sunday edition that Manchester City have ‘expressed interest’ in signing the 23 year old, who can play at right back or in defensive midfield.
The French newspaper say Manchester City used the Silva signing to start Fabinho talks with Jorge Mendes, with the agent also representing the Brazilian.
PSG are said to be very keen, and that’s the main focus of L’Equipe’s claims, whilst Juventus also hold an interest in the player.
Manchester United have been linked with Fabinho over the past week, but there’s no mention of Jose Mourinho’s club from L’Equipe.
