Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told the Swedish media it was an incredible feeling attending Malmo’s away game against J-Södra. The 26-year-old is currently in Sweden ahead of his country’s clash with France next week.

It’s well documented Jansson still adores his boyhood club Malmo, and has even spoken about returning to play for the Swedish club towards the end of his career. Yesterday he joined the Malmo fans on the away trip to J-Södra, and the Leeds United defender decided to whip up the fans with a megaphone.

Speaking to Sydsvenskan, Jansson said: “It was an incredible feeling to be with my friends and go to the game again.”

Jansson has recently been training with Malmo ahead of this month’s internationals, keeping his fitness levels high after the end of Leeds United’s season.

The subject of several transfer rumours towards the end of the season, although none of them particularly strong, Jansson hasn’t used the break to talk up an exit, which should be of some comfort to Leeds United.
