With Pedro Porro’s transfer from Manchester City to Sporting dragging on a little, it seems the clubs are now working to get it done as soon as possible.
An update from newspaper O Jogo today claims that the sides may close the deal and let some pending issues be sorted later.
Manchester City and Sporting have already agreed a loan move for the right-back, who should spend two years at the Lisbon side.
The main issue has been the buying option, since the Lions don’t want to spend over €10m, and the Premier League side have been demanding more.
But according to O Jogo, the clubs may agree that this amount will be set during the player’s spell in Portugal. An option should be triggered depending on the goals achieved by him at the Lisbon side.
It’s said that despite the differences, both clubs believe a deal could be found very soon, with the player flying next week to complete the transfer.
