Manchester City would do ‘crazy things’ to sign Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan this summer but will face fierce resistance from the Serie A side.
Bastoni has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under Antonio Conte this season, making 17 appearances in all competitions to date and even forcing Diego Godín out of the side.
At just 20-years-old he looks set to enjoy a bright future and according to Passione Inter, ‘half of Europe’ are keeping a close eye on him.
Manchester City are among them, with Pep Guardiola’s side likely to be on the hunt for a centre back to partner Aymeric Laporte long-term given their problems with the position this season.
They would do ‘crazy things’ to sign the centre back, but Inter will resist any bids fiercely as they plan to have Bastoni at the heart fo their defence for years to come.
They are ‘not willing’ to discuss a transfer and in fact, planning to introduce more of their youngsters to the team to partner Bastoni and build for the future.
Of course, that is not to say a move won’t happen, but it seems it would take a lot of persuasion and a boatload of money before Inter would even consider selling their prize asset to Manchester City this summer.
