The Spanish media continues to link UD Las Palmas defender Mika Mármol with a Manchester City move.

This week, it’s Marca who write about the centre-back’s future, claiming Pep Guardiola’s side has been following him at the La Liga side.

The outlet highlights Mármol’s ‘magnificent’ season, showing no surprise that Manchester City are interested in him. It’s now said that the Premier League side recently contacted the player’s agent, José María Orobitg.

The English club have this ‘clear’ idea, which is to sign him and let him gain experience somewhere else. And since Girona are also interested in him, that becomes an obvious move for the City Group.

There’s no guarantee Girona would land him, though, as even Las Palmas are interested in keeping him on loan from Manchester City in that period.

For now, there’s no information on how much Mármol would cost, while he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €5m. Last summer, UD Las Palmas paid Andorra €1.9m to get him.

Manchester City now need to go through with their interest and agree a deal with UD Las Palmas.
