The Argentina U21 international is attracting interest from several European clubs and the report focuses on the treble winners. His deal expires in December 2024 and it includes a $10m [€9.1m] release clause.
It’s said Manchester City ‘once again arrive determined to execute’ the clause to take him away from Boca Juniors. Riquelme, on the other hand, would be keen to extend Barco’s contract.
Pep Guardiola’s side would have to compete with Brighton for the winger, who can also operate as a left wing-back and left-back. Boca Noticias add that these two clubs would be ‘willing to pay’ his clause.
