German newspaper Bild have jumped back into the Leroy Sane to Manchester City rumour, head first. Whether that’s because something is actually happening, or they just feel like it, will hopefully become clear over the next few days.
Bild went huge on Sane to Manchester City in January, and several of their claims contradicted previous ones, especially when it came to talking about transfer fees and asking prices.
On Thursday, Bild reiterate that Manchester City made a €55m offer to Schalke in the winter transfer window, but saw this rejected. That hasn’t put the club off, because Bild say personal terms have been agreed with Sane on a four year deal, and he wants to move to Manchester with his family.
Bild think there could be movement over the next few days, and a fax is expected from Manchester City. Interestingly, it’s explained that if Manchester City offered €50m now then they’d likely find success, because Sane has a clause which means he can leave for €37m next summer.
On Wednesday, Der Westen said Manchester City are ready to pay €50m for Sane, so if all of the above is true then a deal can be done without too much fuss.
