Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci will personally ask his club’s board to stop Everton’s Cenk Tosun moving to Qatar as he’s hoping the Super Lig side will be able to sign him during the January transfer window, report Fotospor.
It’s been claimed in the English press the 28 year old is a transfer target for Al Gharafa but Fotospor say Avci is hoping the Everton player will return to his former club in the new year.
Avci reportedly wants to use both Tosun and Burak Yilmaz in attack and it’s reported the forward is happy with Besiktas’ interest.
Fotospor also report Avci will call Tosun this week and advise him not to move to Qatar at this stage of his career. The Everton forward now has 10 days remaining to decide about a move to the Middle East, with the Qatar window closing on the 30th of September.
Tosun’s only appearance for Everton this season came in the League Cup when Everton defeated Lincoln City, and the Turkey captain has yet to play a single minute for Marco Silva’s side in the Premier League.
