Juventus Women manager Stefano Braghin has turned down an offer from Manchester City, according to claims from the Italian media.
TuttoJuve writes that the coach ‘said no’ to the English club, who considered him the ‘right person’ for a ‘very ambitious project’ they have.
The report claims that Braghin is focused on ‘fully honouring’ his contract with Juventus, which expires in 2024.
Manchester City’s attempt to sign the coach was revealed by the very same Tutto Juve. At the time, they claimed there had indeed been a chat between club and manager, even though there was ‘nothing concrete’ yet.
Juventus Women had a 1-1 draw with Arsenal last night, and are on their way to qualify for the Champions League’s knock-out stage. Speaking to the local press after the game, Brahin talked about what is ‘missing’ for them to reach the ‘next step’.
“We’ve already won matches like these. It’s the episodes, today we could have closed the first half and it ended even, then we conceded goals in our best moment. Big matches against big teams have moments, the more you get used to them the more you know how to handle them. We still need some experience.”
