According to Turkish newspaper Takvim, Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim wants to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama from his ‘close friend’ Jose Mourinho.
The Turkish giants are looking to part ways with AS Roma loanee Steven Nzonzi in the new year and they want to replace him in the transfer window, with claims Wanyama is an option.
Wanyama has hardly featured for Spurs this season and could look for a move away from the Premier League club to get more first-team opportunities.
Terim has reportedly spoken with Mourinho and asked him to allow Wanyama to join the Super Lig side, and the Portuguese manager could be open to allowing the player to leave.
Since his arrival Mourinho has been preferring the likes of Eric Dier and Harry Winks ahead of the Kenya international, so a move away from Tottenham could be a possibility.
He’s only featured four times for the London side in all competitions this season and is under contract until June 2021.
