Another week, another person telling the Mexican media that Raul Jimenez deserves to be playing for a bigger club.
Portuguese manager Pedro Caixinha has spoken to TUDN on Monday. Since he’s worked for a couple of clubs in Mexican football, he had something to say about local clubs and players.
The manager said he first met Raul Jimenez long before he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers, and could see his potential back then.
“What I knew about Raul when I came to Mexico, he and Chucho played in Miguel’s 3-5-2. He was a kid who showed his hunger to want to do things and that passion is what I still see today,” said Caixinha.
Then speaking of the striker’s future, Caixinha seems pretty sure that Raul Jimenez will soon be moving to a new club.
“He’s going to leave Wolves to go one step higher and he’s going to continue with that ambition. It’s what I’d like to see in other Mexican players who have a lot of quality.”
There’s been a huge campaign in Mexico for Jimenez to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers. Even though the striker’s home country had shown some big affection for the Premier League side, they now want to see him have a bigger challenge. We’ve lost count of how many ex-players and media outlets have been pushing for his move in the past few months.
